BEIJING, Jan 26 (APP):China on Friday said it would not allow any Chinese enterprises or individuals to engage in any violation of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions against Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).
“China’s position is very clear. We will not allow any Chinese enterprises or individuals to engage in any violation of Security Council resolutions,” Chinese foreign ministry’s spokesperson Hua Chunying said during her regular press briefing.
“If there is conclusive evidence that relevant Chinese enterprises or personnel engaged in activities that violate the resolutions of the Security Council, the Chinese government will certainly deal with it in strict accordance with the law,’ she added.
She said the Chinese side hoped that the UN Security Council resolutions on the DPRK will be fully and earnestly implemented.
Hua said she had noticed that in the recent past, indeed, some people had focused their attention on a few cases concerning the implementation of Security Council resolutions.
“We hope that the relevant resolutions of the Security Council will be able to be implemented in a comprehensive, complete, serious and rigorous manner by all parties,” she added.
She said, “It is hoped that all parties can make more constructive efforts to encourage the DPRK and the ROK to actively interact with each other, promote the parties to start political dialogue as early as possible and push for a peaceful and proper settlement of the North Korean nuclear issue.”
