ISLAMABAD, Sep 22 (APP):Charge d’Affaires (CDA) Rana Summar Javed held online Khuli Kuchehri at the Embassy of Pakistan Moscow on Friday.
The online Kuchehri was attended by officials of the Consular and Diplomatic Wings of the Embassy of Pakistan. The Pakistanis living in the Russian Federation took part in the online meeting, according to a press release received here.
The participants raised the issue about the delays in passport renewal due to their late arrival from Pakistan via courier services, as well as payment problems, which Pakistani students studying in Russia have been facing recently.
Rana Summar Javed explained that delays occur as the courier services, in the current circumstances, require additional time for delivery to Russia.
He also informed the participants about the steps being taken by the Embassy to resolve this issues and ensure smooth and timely delivery of documents.
The CDA also informed that application for character certificates can be submitted online, which makes the process easier and faster.
As for payments, Rana Summar Javed reassured that despite the situation in the region, the Embassy is working at various levels to resolve the problem.
The CDA admitted that holding E-Kucheri has become a valuable source of interaction between the Embassy and the Pakistani community, which not only saves time but also provides an opportunity to take part in the meeting from any part of Russia.
He encouraged the participants to take benefits of the Government of Pakistan schemes for the overseas Pakistanis and take part in the country’s development.
In his closing remarks, Rana Summar Javed reiterated the resolve of the Embassy’s staff to provide maximum facilitation to the Pakistani citizens in Russia and reminded about the need to abide by the laws and rules of the host country.
