Astana, May 22 (UzA/APP) : Astana hosts the 45th Meeting of the Coordination Council as part of the working meeting of the heads of energy companies in Central Asia.
At the international event organized by Kazakhstan’s KEGOC, practical measures are being discussed to ensure a stable electricity supply in the Central Asian energy system in the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026. In particular, special attention was paid to preventing cascading power outages and the efficient use of renewable energy sources.
The rational use of the region’s water resources for land reclamation in agriculture during the growing season of 2025 was discussed in the first part of the meeting. The problems that may arise in the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026 were considered, and proposals for their elimination were put forward.
The participants exchanged views on constructing new power plants in the region, integrating renewable energy sources into the common electric power system, and their intended use.
Specialists from energy companies from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan are taking part in the event. Representatives from Russia are participating as observers.
