MINSK, Jun 16 (BelTA/APP): Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Cuba and non-resident to the Dominican Republic Vitaly Borchuk has presented copies of his credentials to Deputy Minister of Bilateral Foreign Policy of the Dominican Republic Francisco Alberto Caraballo Núñez.
During the ceremony, held via video conference, the parties emphasized the significance of the fact that 2026 will mark the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Belarus and the Dominican Republic. The parties reaffirmed commitment to furthering and strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries. Diplomatic relations between Belarus and the Dominican Republic were established on 18 April 2001. Intergovernmental contacts are maintained through exchanges of messages at the highest and high levels and cooperation within international organizations.
