MINSK, Jun 25 (BelTA/APP): Belarus and Cuba have identified promising points of growth in trade and economy, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he was meeting with Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez on 25 June, BelTA has learned.
It was noted during the talks that Belarus-Cuba commission on trade and economic cooperation had established a schedule of regular, annual meetings. This shows mutual interest in deepening bilateral interaction.
“Taking into consideration the complementarity of the economies of Belarus and Cuba, our experts have identified a number of promising points of growth in trade and economy. They include areas that are strategically important for Havana: food security, industrial modernization, development of the construction industry, transport infrastructure, energy and mining sectors, as well as access to high-quality medicines,” the head of state said.
