Belarus can support Pakistan to overcome energy crisis:Analysts

ISLAMABAD, Nov 10 (APP)-The business community of Belarus has been expressing interest to invest in various projects in Pakistan, especially in agriculture.
These views were expressed by analysts while talking in Radio Pakistan’s Current Affairs programme.Former ambassador Mushtaq Ahmed Mehar said,The visit of Belarusian Prime Minister was vital to boost ties between Islamabad and Minsk.
Pak-Russia bilateral relations were also improving and the leadership of the two countries has made reciprocal visits to increase cooperation in diverse fields.
The business community of Belarus, he said, has been expressing interest to invest in various projects in Pakistan, especially in agriculture.
Heads of government of both the countries, he said and added, have been focusing on to improve trade relations between the two countries.
Belarus could support Pakistan to overcome energy crisis, he added.
Moreover, he said,Belarus itself was an agricultural country and was also a
gateway to Europe.
Former Ambassador Fauzia Nasreen said,the visit of Belarusian Prime Minister was very important as it would further cement the existing good relations between the two countries.
Belarus was technologically superior country and passes on new technologies to Pakistan he said and added, China Pakistan Economic Corridor could also be beneficial to connect with Belarus and European countries.
Senior analyst Dr. Zahid Anwar Khan said,Belarus was technologically advanced country and Pakistan can benefit from Minsk’s experience in many fields.
One such field is agriculture which is backbone of our country.
Their dairy production industry was also quite advanced, he made a mention.
Improvement in Pak-Belarus bilateral relations could be helpful for strengthening the relations with neighboring countries as well, he said and added, China Pakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC) would bring an economic revolution in the country.
Other countries, he said, including Belarus would also be facilitated through this mega project.
Economist Dr. Tauseef Akhtar said,It was third visit between Pakistan and Belarus during last seven months which was a good opportunity for the businessmen of two countries to sit together and discuss various business ventures.
He said for the development work on China Pakistan Economic Corridor. The technical expertise, machinery and other equipment would be needed which could be obtained from Belarus.
