Ali Larijani expresses grief over earthquake losses in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (APP): Speaker Islamic Parliament of Iran
Ali Larijani Wednesday telephoned Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani
and expressed grief over losses in recent earthquake.
Chairman Senate appreciated the warmth of the Iranian Speaker
and acknowledged the sentiments conveyed by him on behalf of the
Iranian people, its leadership and the government.
Rabbani said that Iran was an important neighbor country and
friend of Pakistan that has always stood by Pakistan at difficult times.
He also recalled the moral and financial support extended by
Islamic Republic of Iran and its citizens to its Pakistani brethren
during the 2005 earthquake, said a press release.
The Chairman Senate accepted the condolences from Larijani and
informed him that the Government of Pakistan was mobilizing its own resources to outreach the affected areas in the northern region of the country.
