 ISLAMABAD, Aug 14 (APP): Embassies and foreign missions of Pakistan on Sunday celebrated the 75th anniversary of Pakistan Independence Day across the world with the renewed pledge of its political leadership to transform the country into a modern, democratic, welfare and prosperous country.  

In these ceremonies, special messages from the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan on the 75th Anniversary of independence were read out to the audiences. 

Embassy in Japan

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of independence, a ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan, Tokyo. Charge d’ Affaires Ismat Hassan Sial, hoisted the national flag while the audience sang the National anthem of Pakistan.   

A large number of Pakistanis as well as Japanese from all walks of life attended the ceremony.  

IIn her remarks, she said 14th August 1947, signified the emergence of an independent ideological state under the indomitable leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali JiInnah who believed in following the principles of democracy, peace and friendship with all the nations of the world.  
The Charge d’ Affaires also underscored that this year’s Independence Day carried immense significance as the whole nation stood resolved to staunchly oppose the recent illegal acts of Indian Government to alter the status of internationally recognized disputed Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). 

High Commission in India

High Commission for Pakistan, New Delhi celebrated the 75th Anniversary of the Independence of Pakistan with patriotic zeal and fervor. 

Aftab Hasan Khan, Chargé d’Affaires, raised Pakistan’s flag to the tune of the national anthem at an elegant flag-hoisting ceremony held at the Chancery’s lawns. Officers and staff of the High Commission, along with their families, were present on this auspicious occasion. 

 Subsequently, in his remarks , Aftab Hasan Khan, Chargé d’Affaires, congratulated Pakistani nationals on the auspicious occasion. 

 The Chargé d’Affaires paid homage to the father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and other great leaders of the freedom movement who had led a historic struggle for the establishment of an independent state for the Muslims of the Subcontinent.  

He highlighted that, today, Pakistan was a proud nation on the path of development and prosperity. It has a vibrant and dynamic population which is playing a pivotal role in the country’s  progress. . The last 75 years are a testimony to the fact that Pakistan has achieved tremendous progress and success in all spheres of life even in the face of grave challenges.  

Pakistan would continue to play its responsible role for peace, stability and development in the region and the world, he added.

Embassy in Moscow

 The Embassy of Pakistan in Moscow hosted an event to celebrate the 75th anniversary of independence of Pakistan.  

 The ceremony started with the recitation from the Holy Quran followed by a flag hoisting ceremony. The messages of the President and the Prime Minister were read out by Deputy Head of Mission Summar Javed and Third Secretary Muhammad Tayyab.  

 A string quartet of students from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory performed classical adaptations of Pakistani songs ‘Jeevay Jeevay’, ‘Sohni Dharti’ and ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’.  

 Joshua Edwin Arthur, a language trainee, also sang Pakistani national songs to the accompaniment of the guitar.  

 The performers were warmly welcomed by the audience, which included the members of the Pakistani community in Russia, diplomats and employees of the Embassy, as well as Russian friends of Pakistan. 

Embassy in China

To commemorate 75 years of Pakistan’s Independence Day, a flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in China which was attended by a large number of audience.

Embassy in Egypt

Ambassador of Pakistan to Egypt Sajid Bilal hoisted Pakistani flag at the embassy of Pakistan in Cairo to mark the 75th anniversary of Independence.

After the flag hoisting, the ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, and reading out of messages of the President and the Prime Minister for the audience, says a press release received here.

Earlier, on the eve of Independence Day, the embassy arranged a festive reception attended by Pakistani families in large numbers, including from cities of Ismailia and Alexandria. The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran and prayers for peace, stability and prosperity of the country and its people. The recitation was followed by playing of national anthem; the audience joined to sing the anthem with great zeal and fervor. On the occasion, the students of Pakistan International School presented a number of performances on national songs. The ambassador was invited on the stage to award certificates to the winners of quiz, art and painting competitions arranged by the school as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

In his remarks, ambassador Sajid Bilal paid tribute to the wisdom and foresight of the founding fathers of Pakistan for demanding a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Subcontinent.

He also lauded the security personnel across Pakistan for providing the people safety and security from all kind of threats; and reminded that “while we celebrate our freedoms, we should not forget to remember our Kashmiri brothers and sisters who are still striving to win freedom from illegal Indian occupation”.

The ambassador thanked the Pakistani community in Egypt for their valuable contributions to the progress and prosperity of Pakistan through their active participation in Roshan Digital Account initiative and urged them to continue their active participation in the initiative.
Towards the end, community notables and the Embassy team joined the ambassador to cut the Independence Day cake, amid the slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad”. The event was attended by more than 250 Pakistanis from across Egypt.

High Commission in Malaysia

High Commission of Pakistan in Malaysia organized day-long celebrations to commemorate diamond jubilee of Pakistan’s independence with zeal and fervour.
The celebrations started with the flag hoisting ceremony at office of High Commission of Pakistan in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A number of dignitaries from different countries attended the ceremony to show solidarity and cement their bond with Pakistan.
The High Commissioner of Pakistan in Malaysia, Amna Baloch presented messages of President and Prime Minister of Pakistan on 75th independence day followed by a cake-cutting ceremony.
On the occasion a special speech segment has been organized for children to express their love for the homeland. Children of different age groups spoke on the topics “Why I love Pakistan” and “My responsibility towards my homeland”. The segments were arranged to encourage children to share their views and for appreciation gift packs were distributed among all participants.
A quiz competition about the national heritage, personalities, sports champions and famous places of Pakistan was also organized to disseminate knowledge about the country among the visiting guests.
Three girls also presented a tableau on the song “Sinf-a-Ahan”. Visitors also took part in the Urdu poetry recitation( Mushaira) and national song segment.
On the occasion a number of stalls were organized offering mouth-watering Pakistani traditional cuisines, Pakistani fruits, traditional and boutique style dresses, Pakistani herbal products and other items.
A special performance of a singer Gul Khan was also part of the event who mesmerized the audience with his melodious voice. People applauded his performance and actively participated in the event.
The event was largely attended by Pakistanis based in Malaysia, Pakistani students, Malaysian citizens and people from other countries.

The Independence Day of Pakistan was also observed with patriotic zeal and spirit in a graceful ceremony at the Embassy of Pakistan, Brussels. The national flag of the country was hoisted by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg, Dr. Asad Majeed Khan at the Chancery building.

To mark the 75th anniversary of Independence Day of Pakistan, a colourful flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Chancery in Oslo, Norway with great zeal and fervor. Ambassador Babar Amin raised the National Flag to the tune of National Anthem. Messages of the President and the Prime Minister were read out on the occasion. A large number of diaspora from various walks of life including politicians, media, attended the ceremony.
