PML-N, PPP hold high-level meeting on government formation in Gilgit-Baltistan

GILGIT, Jun 11 (APP):A high-level delegation of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) met with a senior delegation of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) at a local hotel in Gilgit to discuss various proposals regarding the formation of the next government in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The PML-N delegation comprised Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Engineer Amir Muqam, and PML-N Gilgit-Baltistan President Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman. The PPP delegation included former Federal Minister and senior party leader Qamar Zaman Kaira, Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, former Senate Chairman Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, PPP Gilgit-Baltistan President Amjad Hussain Advocate, and Sindh Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah.
During the meeting, leaders of both parties exchanged views on the prevailing political situation in Gilgit-Baltistan and deliberated on various aspects of the upcoming government formation process. Several proposals were discussed, and both sides agreed to continue consultations on the matter.
The two delegations also agreed that the proposals related to government formation would be reviewed in consultation with their respective Gilgit-Baltistan and central party leaderships before a final course of action is determined.
