GILGIT, Jun 22 (APP):The newly elected members of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly took oath during the first session of the Assembly held on Monday at the Assembly Hall in Gilgit.
The session was presided over by Speaker Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly Nazeer Ahmed Advocate, who administered the oath to the newly elected lawmakers.
During the oath-taking ceremony all members pledged to serve the people, uphold the Constitution and the law, and discharge their responsibilities with honesty and dedication.
Following the oath-taking the Assembly will proceed with its subsequent business in accordance with the Rules of Procedure, including the election of the Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and the Leader of the House, along with other parliamentary matters.
