GB Education Minister meets Ghizer school education team, reviews educational affairs

ASTORE, Aug 28 (APP):A delegation of the School Education Department, Ghizer, met with Gilgit-Baltistan Provincial Education Minister Aman Ali Aamir to discuss the overall education situation in the district, school performance, teachers’ attendance, provision of educational facilities, and various departmental matters.
Deputy Director Education Ghizer Didar Panah warmly welcomed Provincial Education Minister Aman Ali Aamir and briefed him on the performance of the School Education Department in Ghizer, ongoing activities, and the challenges being faced by the department.
The meeting also discussed measures to further improve the quality of education in government schools across the district, provide students with a better learning environment, ensure teachers’ regular attendance, effectively utilize available school facilities, and provide basic educational facilities wherever required.
Provincial Education Minister Aman Ali Aamir said that providing quality education in line with contemporary requirements was among the government’s top priorities in Gilgit-Baltistan.
He said it was the government’s responsibility to ensure quality educational facilities for students in remote areas as well, and all available resources are being utilized for this purpose.
He directed the officers of the School Education Department to ensure teachers’ attendance in schools and said that no negligence in the teaching process would be tolerated.
He emphasized that regular attendance of teachers and effective teaching activities were essential for improving students’ academic performance.
The Provincial Education Minister stressed that education department officers and field staff should perform their duties with dedication, honesty and professionalism so that students enrolled in government schools can receive a better learning environment and quality educational facilities.
He expressed his resolve that the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan would continue taking effective measures to improve the education sector, enhance the capacity of schools, provide basic facilities, and raise the overall standard of education across the region.
