PESHAWAR, Mar 23 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman on behalf of the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi, on eve of ‘Pakistan Day’ conferred four civil awards at ceremony at Governor House here on Saturday.
Cricketer Yasir Shah got Sitara-I-Imtiaz in acknowledgement of his extra ordinary services in the field of Cricket.
While three personalities of the province, Professor Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad in the field of education, Khwaja Safar Ali in the field of Metal work and Akhtar Gul, Deputy Director in the field of Public Services was conferred with Tamgha-I-Imtiaz.
Besides, members of the provincial cabinet, Parliamentarians from the Province including merged tribal districts, Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Saleem Khan, Secretary Administration Imtiaz Ayoub Secretary Information and PRs Mukhtiar Ahmad, Secretary Housing Masood Ahmad, Secretary Public Health Engineering Behramand Khan and other Administrative Secretaries, Senior Civil and Military officials, relatives and well-wisher of the recipients of the National Award attended the ceremony.
On the occasion, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman congratulated the recipients of the National Awards and also paid tributes to the martyrs of the Pakistan Movement.
