WEF Jeddah hosts inspiring women’s gathering to promote empowerment, community engagement

Saudi Arabia, Feb 18 (APP):The Women Empowerment Forum (WEF) Jeddah hosted a vibrant community gathering at Imperium Hall, Rehab Walkway, bringing together international, particularly Asian women for an evening of networking, learning, and mutual support.
The initiative aimed to encourage self-development, confidence, and community engagement by providing a welcoming space for women to share their talents and creative work.
The gathering offered a lively platform for participants to present home-based skills and handcrafted creations, connect with like-minded women, and exchange ideas in a supportive environment.

Organised by members of WEF Jeddah, the program sought to strengthen community ties and promote positive engagement among women from diverse backgrounds living in the city. Opening remarks were delivered by WEF Founding President MS Fareeha Ali and organising team member Ms Anam Farooqi.
Ms Fareeha Ali outlined the initiative’s vision, highlighting the importance of self-reliance and encouraging women to develop their skills and hobbies, share their creative work with wider audiences, and nurture their talents in meaningful ways. She emphasised that even modest personal efforts can lead to meaningful growth and urged participants to dedicate time to personal development for the
benefit of both individuals and the community.
Chief Guest Dr Sameera Aziz, a renowned Saudi media personality and entrepreneur, praised the organisers for creating an inclusive space for women to grow creatively and confidently. She shared an inspiring message encouraging women to step beyond their comfort zones, support one another, and create ease for others.
She later presented appreciation badges to WEF team members Ms Anam Farooq, Ms. Shaeesta Ameen, and Ms. Maryam Ali in recognition of their contributions.
The programme also featured presentations by Ms Noor ul Ain Tahir on mental health, Ms. Ambreen Nadeem on women’s empowerment, and Ms. Muezza on her TNVR initiative supporting stray cats. Participants showcased handmade items, baked goods, and creative crafts, while guests enjoyed refreshments and warm hospitality.
The Patron of WEF Jeddah, Mr. Saad Anwar, congratulated the team for a successful gathering and reaffirmed his continued support.
The evening concluded with optimism and a commitment to future programmes fostering collaboration and empowerment among women in Jeddah.
