MAKKAH , May 16 (APP): Saudi Arabia’s national digital platform, Tawakkalna, has commenced providing comprehensive Hajj-related government services in 19 different languages, including Urdu, for pilgrims and field workers during the current Hajj season.
According to a media reports, the high-tech initiative is spearheaded by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) to strengthen digital integration among various government service entities. The move aims to support pilgrims throughout their spiritual journey, spanning from their arrival in the Kingdom, entry into Makkah and the holy sites, to their visits to the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, and up until their final departure.
To cater to the massive global influx of pilgrims, the application fully supports Arabic, English, Urdu, Indonesian, Hindi, Turkish, French, Bengali, Persian, Malay, Russian, Chinese, Filipino, German, Dutch, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Through the unified platform, pilgrims can instantly access a wide range of essential credentials, including official Hajj permits linked directly to the digital Hajj permit platform “Tasreeh”. It also facilitates permits for entering Makkah, field work authorizations, volunteer permits, and vehicle access passes issued by various government bodies.
Officials stated that Tawakkalna is engineered to serve as a trusted digital companion, facilitating daily movement while offering a smoother, safer, and paperless digital experience during the stay in the holy sites and subsequent visits to Madinah.
The platform also allows users to seamlessly book ritual appointments for Al Rawdah Al Sharifah through the integrated Nusuk gateway. Additional localized services available on the app include multilingual live broadcasts of the Arafah sermon, the emergency medical assistance service “Assefni”, real-time weather updates for the holy sites, Qibla direction, prayer timetables, and digital Quran services.
Saudi authorities emphasized that these smart technology upgrades are part of broader strategic efforts aligned with the Pilgrim Experience Programme under Saudi Vision 2030. The Tawakkalna platform currently provides more than 1,300 diversified services in cooperation with over 350 government entities, catering to a registered user base of over 35 million people.
