BRUSSELS, Oct 24 (APP):Ambassador of Pakistan to European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg, Rahim Hayat Qureshi on Friday inaugurated a photo exhibition titled “Kashmir Black Day: A Forgotten Tragedy” at the Embassy here to mark Kashmir Black Day and highlight the grave human rights situation in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The week-long exhibition showcases powerful images and documented evidence depicting India’s crimes against humanity and the decades-long suffering of the Kashmiri people under occupation. The exhibits, based on reports by the United Nations and international human rights organizations, portray the continued denial of fundamental freedoms and human dignity in IIOJK.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi said that October 27 marked the day India forcibly occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a tragic turning point that unleashed a pattern of repression and violence which continues unabated.
He urged the international community to take notice of the ongoing human rights violations in IIOJK and to hold India accountable for its actions.
The exhibition will remain open for one week at the Embassy of Pakistan, Brussels.
