BEIJING, Nov 3 (APP):The third and final phase of the 138th China Import and Export Fair, popularly known as the Canton Fair, commenced on October 31st in Guangzhou, with a contingent of 19 Pakistani exhibitors organized by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).
This phase of the fair is themed “Better Life” and showcases a wide array of products aimed at enhancing modern living. Pakistani companies have effectively tapped into this theme by presenting a compelling range of export-quality goods including home textiles, sports goods, leather products and surgical instruments. Their booths have been successful in attracting a great number of international buyers, generating promising business inquiries.
As one of the world’s largest B2B exhibition platforms, the Canton Fair attracts buyers and participants from virtually every country and region, serving as a critical barometer of global trade trends and a hub for international sourcing, CEN reported.
Muhammad Imran, Trade & Investment Counsellor (TIC) of Pakistan in Guangzhou, highlighted the strategic importance of the event. “The Canton Fair provides an unparalleled opportunity for our exporters to connect with the international market,” he stated. “The positive response to our diverse product range here is highly encouraging and is expected to contribute significantly towards expanding Pakistan’s export basket.”
The 138th Canton Fair, which began on October 15 and will run until November 4, is structured in three phases, each focusing on a different product category.
The current phase of the fair features more than 12,000 exhibitors. It is comprehensively organized into five sections: Fashion, Home Textiles, Toys, Maternity and Infant Products, Stationery, and Health and Leisure. These are spread across 21 exhibition zones, occupying a massive exhibition area of 515,000 square meters with approximately 25,000 booths.
