BEIJING, Aug 21 (APP):A Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said on Friday that military action and sanctions will not resolve the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran, saying such measures would only further heighten tensions.

The remarks came after US President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday plans for what he called the “most crushing economic operation ever taken” against countries providing economic support to Iran.
