BEIJING, Dec 7 (APP): India’s External Affairs Minister’s recent remarks on Pakistan’s armed forces are not just inflammatory and baseless—they are a deliberate distraction from New Delhi’s own failures and destabilizing actions.
These views were expressed by Prof. Cheng Xizhong, Senior Research Fellow at the Charhar Institute, a non-governmental Chinese think-tank on diplomacy and international studies based in Beijing.
He said that such irresponsible rhetoric cannot overshadow the professionalism of Pakistan’s military, vividly demonstrated during the May 2025 conflict when it defended the nation against Indian aggression with utmost resolve.
India’s tactic of defaming Pakistan’s state institutions is a transparent propaganda ploy. It seeks to divert global attention from its own role in fomenting instability in the region and sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan. Worse, this incendiary language exposes India’s utter disregard for regional peace and amity—qualities it claims to uphold, he added.
Prof Cheng said that instead of hurling unfounded accusations, India should introspect on the fascist and revisionist Hindutva ideology gripping its society. This ideology has unleashed mob justice, lynchings, arbitrary detentions and destruction of places of worship—grave human rights violations that the international community cannot ignore. India’s state and leadership, held hostage by this religious extremism, have lost moral ground to lecture others.
Pakistan’s commitment to coexistence and diplomacy stands in stark contrast to India’s belligerence. New Delhi must abandon its propaganda and address its internal rot if it truly wants regional stability, he said.
