BEIJING, Aug 28 (APP):China’s Snow Town” a highly popular destination for ice and snow tours, located in Hailin city, northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province, is gearing up to welcome domestic and foreign tourists during upcoming winter season.
The Snow Town was rated a national 5A-level scenic area in 2010 and has won more than 30 awards.
“Escaping the summer heat in the Snow Town is a perfect idea, and visitors can enjoy float parade, rural folk dance, song-and-dance duet, and many other northeastern traditions. The lighting in the evening is like a fairy tale,” a local official told a group of foreign journalists from Pakistan, Cuba, Vietnam, Türkiye and other countries during a press tour organized by Longjiang Forest Industry Group.
As night descended, the journalists walked to visit wooden cottages decorated with lanterns on Xueyun Street, Snow Town Cultural Exhibition Hall, Bangchui Hill Sightseeing Road and witnessed dancing, float parade, and rural folk dance on the plaza.
“China’s Snow Town” scenic area has undergone extensive upgrades in recent months. Infrastructure such as streets, hotels, shops, cultural exhibition halls and transfer stations have been renovated and improved. New additions include the Forest Mountaineering Trail and the Snow Rhythm Street riverside commercial area, further diversifying the tourism experience.
Last year, China’s Snow Town received over 1.45 million domestic and global tourists with highest gatherings during the New Year holidays.
On the New Year’s night, thousands of visitors come here to welcome the New Year.
The journalist also visited Primitive Forest Scenic Area which is a cool resort, natural oxygen bar, and health paradise.
Dahailin Forestry Bureau has built a picturesque campsite that offers various entertainment programs; developed fun activities including sky bike, cable car, and challenge bridge, optimized the water rafting facilities and designed packages for students, health seekers, self-driving tourists, and beyond.
Primitive Forest Scenic Area has a land area of 27,404 hectares and a forest area of 26,432 hectares, including a precious red pine forest of 297 hectares, which is a natural museum and species gene bank. There are three sightseeing options: the creek route is about 2.2 kilometers long, the pine route is about 1.6 kilometers long, and the wild boar’s nest route is about 2.8 kilometers long.
