BEIJING, Aug. 18 (APP):China has expressed support for greater solidarity and cooperation among countries in the region following the signing of a joint defence agreement among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye in Makkah.
Responding to a question from APP about the agreement, the Spokesperson of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday that Beijing consistently supports regional countries in strengthening cooperation to promote peace and stability.
“China has always supported countries in the region in strengthening unity and cooperation and jointly promoting peace and stability in the region,” the spokesperson said.
The statement came in response to a question on China’s comments or reaction to the recently signed agreement among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
China’s response emphasized its broader position of encouraging regional countries to enhance solidarity and cooperation in the interest of maintaining peace and stability.
