Arafat, June 5, 2025 (APP):Under the directive of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Arafah sermon for the 1446H Hajj season was translated into 35 languages and broadcast live to millions of Muslims across the globe. This historic initiative aimed to deliver the sermon’s profound message to every Muslim in their native language.
The project was executed by the General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, in collaboration with the Religious Affairs Presidency. The translated sermon was aired live via the “Manarat Al-Haramain” digital platform, YouTube, the “Tawakkalna” app, and various other digital channels.
Large display screens were installed at key locations in Namirah Mosque and the Grand Mosque, showcasing guidance messages to inform pilgrims about how to access the translated sermon. A team of 86 staff members was actively engaged in translation, guidance, and outreach, while introductory cards were distributed to assist pilgrims.
To further expand the global reach of this service, the Authority launched a comprehensive awareness campaign on social media, including videos, posters, and instructional content in multiple languages.
These efforts reflect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to harmonizing religious services with modern advancements, utilizing cutting-edge technology and media tools to deliver a dignified and inclusive spiritual experience to Muslims around the world.
