Ambassador Tirmizi takes part in “Unity Cup” Tennis Tournament in Kaluga

MOSCOW, Nov 10 (APP):Ambassador of Pakistan to the Russian Federation, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi on Monday took part in the “Unity Cup” Tennis Tournament held in the Russian city of Kaluga, dedicated to the Russian National Unity Day.
“It is a true honor to participate in the ‘Unity Cup’ tournament. This friendly competition is more than just a game; it is a powerful tool for strengthening people-to-people ties and building mutual understanding,” the Ambassador noted on the sidelines of the event.
He expressed deep gratitude to the organizers of the tournament for excellent arrangements and a friendly atmosphere.
The event was inaugurated by Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Grushko, President of the Russian Tennis Federation Shamil Tarpishchev, and Governor of the Kaluga Region Vladislav Shapsha.
The Ambassadors of Sierra Leone, Mongolia, and the DPRK, the Chargé d’Affaires of Oman, as well as representatives from the Embassies of China and Tajikistan took part in the tournament.
The Russian side was represented by State Duma Deputies, senators, diplomats, pilot-cosmonauts, polar explorers, sports veterans, and aspiring tennis players.
