JEDDAH, May 11 (APP):Pakistan Consulate, along with Pakistan Community in Jeddah, celebrated the 1st anniversary of Marka-i-Haq with great enthusiasm, paying tribute to the nation’s unwavering resolve, the unshakeable courage of Pakistan’s armed forces, and the nation’s determination.
According to a press release issued from the Consulate General of Pakistan, the event was held at the premises of the Pakistan Consulate Jeddah and was graced by the presence of a diverse spectrum of the Pakistani community alongside the presence of local ethnic media representatives, highlighting their deep-rooted unity and fondness for their homeland.
The event commenced with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Mohammed Asif and the national anthems of Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stirring a strong sense of patriotism and respect among all attendees. H.E. Consul General Syed Mustafa Rabbani and Pakistan’s permanent representative in OIC Ambassador Mr. Syed Muhammad Fawad Sher, in their address to the gathering, commended the Armed Forces for their outstanding professionalism and precision during Mark-i-Haq, which thwarted Indian aggression.
Speakers highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to peace and unity, through diplomatic efforts. Speakers urged the international community to support a peaceful resolution to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, in line with UN Security Council resolutions. Speakers also emphasized that today, while we honor our shuhada from civil and military forces and salute their courage and sacrifices, we also renew our commitment to peace, stability, and regional harmony.
It was highlighted that our victory in Marka-i-Haq has placed Pakistan on the world map as a pillar of strength and reliable partner in the peace and progress in our region and the world beyond. Prominent Community members, Mr. Masood Puri, Eng. Arif Mughal and Sardar Waqas Inayat, speaking on behalf of the Pakistani community in Jeddah, paid tribute to the nation’s resolve and its defence forces and Shuhada. It was emphasized by speakers that the nation has to show and continue with the same unity and resolve to achieve economic progress and development of Pakistan.
The ceremony concluded with heartfelt prayers for the nation’s martyrs and for the well-being and prosperity of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
