NAWABSHAH, Nov 02 (APP):The results of Sindh Bar Council (SBC) elections on Sunday have reaffirmed the dominance of the Progressive Panel in Nawabshah.
Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar secured a decisive victory, defeating his rival Kareem Bux Rind of the JUI-F by a wide margin.
According to the results received, out of 1,300 registered votes, a total of 679 votes were cast, while 29 votes were rejected. Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, representing Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), received 523 votes, whereas Kareem Bux Rind secured127 votes, placing him in second position. Following the announcement of results, celebrations erupted at the Nawabshah Bar Council, where PPP supporters danced to party songs, distributed sweets and raised slogans in favor of the Progressive Panel’s victory.
