Zakat Fund Grants Worth Rs2.8 Million Distributed Among 148 Beneficiaries in SBA

HYDERABAD, Oct 09 (APP):Chairman District Zakat and Ushr Committee Shaheed Benazirabad, Chaudhry Zafar Arain, distributed cross cheques under the Zakat Fund for marriage grants and permanent rehabilitation among 148 deserving men and women from across the district during a ceremony held at his office. Addressing the ceremony, Chaudhry Zafar Arain said that, in accordance with the directives of Government of Sindh, the Zakat Fund was being distributed among deserving individuals in a transparent and fair manner to ensure financial assistance for poor and underprivileged families. He said that the primary objective of Zakat was to support vulnerable segments of society and facilitate improvements in their lives by extending financial assistance to those in need. Chaudhry Zafar Arain said that cross cheques amounting to a total of Rs. 2.8 million had been distributed among 148 deserving individuals in District Shaheed Benazirabad under the marriage grant and permanent rehabilitation schemes. He explained that 66 deserving girls had received cheques of Rs. 30,000 each under the marriage grant scheme, while 82 widows and persons with disabilities had been provided cheques of Rs. 10,000 each under the permanent rehabilitation scheme. District Zakat Officer Shaheed Benazirabad Abdul Latif Channar, Samiullah Samo, and other relevant officers were also present on the occasion.
