Sargodha, Jul 09 (APP):Member of Punjab Zakat Council Senator Dr Ghous Muhammad Khan Niazi on Wednesday announced that Punjab Zakat Department has invited applications from deserving students for educational scholarships.
In this regard, the Senator said that a budget of Rs 2,351,000 has been allocated for the deserving students of Khushab district.
He said that the scholarship program offers different rates based on the level of education including Rs 10,000 annually for FA students, Rs 15,000 annually BS Students, Rs 20,000 annually Engineering students and Rs 20,000 annually Medical students.
Dr Ghous Niazi said that deserving students can obtain the application form from their respective government educational institutions or the District Zakat Usher Office, Old Lorry Adda, Khushab. “The form should be certified by the administrator of the local Zakat Committee and submitted to the district committee office through their institution”, he added.
The Senator said that the Punjab government’s scholarship program aims to support deserving students and enable them to pursue their education without financial burdens. “This initiative emphasizes the government’s commitment to supporting education and empowering deserving individuals in their pursuit of academic excellence”, he concluded.
