SARGODHA, Oct 22 (APP):Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Sargodha region apprehended an official from the Irrigation Department on Wednesday in a bribery case.
According to the spokesperson,Muhammad Akram, resident of Lalyani (Kotmomin), filed a complaint with the Regional Director of Anti-Corruption Sargodha, accusing Muhammad Afzal Zaildar, an official from the Irrigation Department, of demanding a bribe of Rs. 20,000 in exchange for implementing an approved revised water timing schedule.
Acting on the complaint, the Anti-Corruption team, under the supervision of the judicial magistrate, conducted a raid and caught the accused red-handed while accepting the bribe.
