YPP students visit Police Lines headquarters
RAWALPINDI, Sep 10 (APP):A delegation of students from Youth Parliament Pakistan (YPP), a non-governmental organisation, on Thursday visited Police Lines headquarters, Rawalpindi, and received a briefing on various police departments and modern policing systems.
ASP New Town, DSP Administration, and other police officers briefed the delegation on how different departments function and how modern technology is used in policing.
The delegation visited the Command and Control Room, where it was briefed on the modern monitoring system and the role of technology in enhancing policing and public safety.
The students also visited the Complaint Cell were briefed about the procedure for registration of citizens’ complaints, their timely redressal and monitoring.
The delegation visited the Tahafuz Centre, described by police as the first such centre in Pakistan established to protect the rights of transgender persons and provide them with necessary facilities.
The students were also briefed on the facilities and support provided to citizens, particularly women, children and other affected persons.
At the conclusion of the visit, certificates were distributed among the students. The delegation also presented shields to ASP New Town, DSP Administration and other police officers in recognition of their services.
