LAHORE, Jan 17 (APP):Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has said that the government was creating extensive opportunities for young people under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme to enable them to play an effective role in national development and progress.
Addressing a ceremony, here on Saturday, he said that youth empowerment was a top priority of the government, adding that along with quality education, it was equally important to provide modern training and skill development to prepare young people for future challenges. He stressed that trained and skilled youth were the backbone of a strong and progressive economy.
Rana Mashhood said that Pakistan’s delivery and overall performance were now being acknowledged at the global level. He noted that during Operation Bunyan-al-Marsoos, Pakistan successfully showcased its technological capabilities to the world, reflecting the country’s growing strength in modern warfare and innovation. He further said that in Marka-e-Haq, Pakistan defeated India through the effective and strategic use of technology, proving its preparedness and competence.
He said that Pakistan was moving steadily on the path of development, citing economic stability and improved global standing as key indicators of progress. He pointed out that the ranking of the Pakistani passport had improved, reflecting enhanced international confidence in the country.
Emphasizing the government’s vision, Rana Mashhood said that a “Rising Pakistan” was being built with a special focus on youth, who were being equipped with education, skills, and opportunities to lead the nation into a prosperous future.
He also said that Pakistan had taken off economically and was heading towards sustainable growth, expressing confidence that the country would soon exit the International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme. He added that economic reforms and prudent policies were yielding positive results, paving the way for long-term stability and development.
Rana Mashhood said that the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme would continue to serve as a major platform for empowering young people and ensuring their active participation in nation-building.
