RAWALPINDI, Dec 03 (APP): A large number of students from across the entire Rawalpindi Division and Islamabad, displayed their talent Wednesday at the grand finale of ‘Anti-Corruption Awareness Competitions’ hosted by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Islamabad/Rawalpindi Region.

The day-long event, which was the culmination of preliminary qualifying round, featured tough competitions in Urdu and English essay writing, speeches, and on-the-spot painting/sketch drawing. Separate expert juries were constituted for each category to ensure fair and professional evaluation of the entries.

Hundreds of talented participants from schools and colleges of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jehlum, and Chakwal showcased remarkable creativity and dedication while highlighting the effects of corruption and the pivotal role of youth in nation-building.
The powerful speeches, thought-provoking essays, and attractive artworks enthralled the audience and earned great applause from the audience including teachers, students, parents and other officials. The event was organized at Govt Associate Degree College for Women, Dhoke Kala Khan.

Chief Guest Javed Ahmed, Director NAB Islamabad/Rawalpindi in his speech welcomed distinguished guests and participants, elaborated on the devastating effects of corruption on society, and emphasized that today’s youth are the most powerful weapon against this menace.

He congratulated the young contestants particularly those who won the competitions. He also thanked the teachers, and organizer, and reaffirmed the commitment that NAB would continue such initiatives to make the youth cognizant of menace of corruption and involve them in the anti corruption campaign.
The chief guest, distributed cash prizes, shields and certificates to the position-holders.
