SIALKOT: Jul 17 (APP):Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif said on Saturday that 10th Muharram reminded the great sacrifice by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the grandson of Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), for upholding the sanctity of Islam.
He expressed these views while talking to the media during a visit to a mourning procession at Adda Pasrurian here on Wednesday.
Federal Defence Minister said that “Hussainiat is still alive today and will be alive forever which continues to teach mankind that war against cruelty and brutality is ongoing and no sacrifice will be avoided for in this regard”.
Federal Minister said that Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions accepted martyrdom in Karbala but did not bow down to Yazeed.
Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that after 1400 years, just as the Palestinians have sacrificed 40,000 lives and renewed Hussain and Karbala, in which 37,000 children have been sacrificed. Still, they did not bow down to Yazeed. Yazidism will continue to be fought and, InshaAllah, Hussainism will win.
He said that thousands of innocent people were being martyred, and veils were being scratched from women’s heads. There is no one to carry the funeral.
Federal Minister said that the fulfillment of this Sunnah has to be done with blood and the Muslims of Gaza were giving that blood at the moment and the rest of the Islamic world is spending verbally.
The same history was being repeated at this time, people have become victims of expediency, even at that time, the power to whom people bowed before them, and none had stood with the Prophet’s family, he said.
Even now, from Morocco to Indonesia, Malaysia, and Palestine, no one stands with them, they are fulfilling the Sunnah of Karbala. He added that Allah and His Messenger (PBUH) will help them.
