KOHAT, Jan 15 (APP):A team of World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Peshawar on Wednesday visited Kohat Wildlife Division and conduct training of in modern camera trapping techniques for wildlife monitoring.
The training was conducted by team officers Asim Haider and Naeem Khan at Tanda Wildlife Park and Kotal Wildlife Park. The training was aimed to further strengthen the survey and monitoring capabilities of the division.
Speaking on the occasion Asim Haider said that camera trapping was an innovative technology that had revolutionized wildlife research and monitoring.
This technique provided invaluable information about animal behavior, population movements, and their habitat use.
He said that through this technology, more effective and informed decisions could be made for wildlife conservation, which was a major step towards protecting Pakistan’s
unparalleled biodiversity.
Asim said that WWF Pakistan was extremely proud to work with the committed team of Kohat Wildlife Division and excited to witness the positive impact achieved through their tireless work and camera trapping techniques.
