WSSC engaged in cleaning activities in D I Khan city after rains

Dera Ismail Khan , Aug 16 (APP):The Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC) DI Khan is hectically engaged in cleanup operations following the recent heavy rains in D I Khan city.

According to the details, on the directives of the deputy commissioner D I Khan and WSSC Chief Executive Ms Sarah Rehman, the staff had started cleaning the drains and streets.
Heavy machinery is being used to remove debris and waste from the roads to ensure the city’s cleanliness.
Assistant Commissioner D I Khan Faseeh Ishaq Abbasi with WSSC officials conducted a thorough inspection of the different areas of the city and reviewed the cleanliness efforts.
On the occasion, the Assistant Commissioner said the district administration was giving priority to keeping all markets and streets in the city clean.
He stressed that maintaining cleanliness is a shared responsibility between municipal departments and residents.
Citizens are urged to keep their streets clean and dispose of waste properly in designated bins. Without public cooperation, effective street cleaning is challenging. The administrative machinery has been instructed to clear the areas promptly also appealed to the general public and the business community to take special care of cleanliness around them and to dispose off garbage at designated places instead of throwing it in front of homes and shops.
He said that the administration was keeping a close eye on the situation and ready to deal with any kind of emergency.
While talking to APP, the official of WSSC said that Despite the heavy rain, WSSC officials and workers played an excellent role in maintaining a clean environment.
The WSSC operation continued in various areas of the city during the rainfall, focusing on street and stream cleaning, and collecting all dirt to keep the city clean.
WSSC officials lifted all dirt from the main roads, enabling traffic flow and maintaining the city’s beauty even during the recent spell of rains, the official said.
He further said that WSSC  staff is actively working on overflow locations, and personnel are conducting cleanliness operations in the field to ensure proper drainage.
