RAWALPINDI, Sep 14 (APP):A special workshop aimed at strengthening the ethical and professional conduct of police officers and personnel was held at the Police Lines Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
Commandant Police College Sihala Ashfaq Ahmed Khan delivered online lectures to police officers and personnel, focusing on ethical training, courteous interaction with citizens and professional conduct.
The workshop was attended by personnel from various wings, including the Elite Force, Traffic Police, Dolphin Force, Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) and Lady Police.
Participants were given special lectures on effective communication with citizens, politeness, patience and respect for their dignity. Particular emphasis was placed on adopting a courteous attitude while dealing with the public and addressing the complaints of women, senior citizens and children on a priority basis.
Officials said that respecting citizens, resolving their problems promptly and ensuring improved service delivery were the prime objectives of people-friendly policing.
The police said that, in line with the vision of the Punjab chief minister, directives of the Punjab Inspector General of Police and instructions issued by CPO Rawalpindi Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera, all possible measures were being taken to protect the lives and property of citizens and ensure the provision of better and more effective police services.
The workshop was part of ongoing efforts to promote professionalism, public-friendly policing and improved service delivery among police personnel.
