BAHAWALPUR, Jun 17 (APP): A woman has suffered burn injuries when she switched on a gas stove at her house in Hasilpur.
Rescue 1122 said that they received information that a woman had received burn injuries when the kitchen caught fire after she switched on a gas stove for making tea. Rescuers along with an ambulance rushed to the scene and provided her with medical first aid and later shifted her to hospital.
Police sources quoting primary investigations said that diesel and kerosene oil were also placed in the room which was used as a kitchen. They said that a fire erupted when the woman switched on the gas stove which also engulfed other items of the house including a motorcycle.
They said that the woman suffered burn wounds on 70pc part of the body. She is under treatment by specialist doctors at the tehsil headquarters hospital. She was identified as 55-year-old Shahnaz, wife of Ashraf, a resident of Chak No. 208 Murad, Chhoona Wala, tehsil Hasilpur.
