FAISALABAD, Oct 28 (APP): Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Managing Director Sohail Qadir Cheema has said that industrial units will be bound to implement SOPs to provide the best drainage facilities to the citizens, for which clear instructions have been issued to the owners of industrial units.
In a meeting with a delegation of All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association (APTPMA) at his office here on Tuesday, he said that during the last monsoon, the industrial unit owners were warned to construct septic tanks and silt tanks inside their units so that the difficulties in drainage of water could be resolved. He clarified that in this regard, an inspection team was also formed by the district administration, which inspected and sealed various industrial units and its report was sent to the office of the Deputy Commissioner.
He further clarified that the industrial units which will implement the SOPs will be de-sealed on the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner. On this occasion, the delegation assured for implementing the SOPs.
