FAISALABAD, Dec 16 (APP): Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) Assistant Director Shahida Rehman has said that WASA would increase its revenue to provide quality services to its customers in Faisalabad.
Addressing a function organized under this aegis of District Citizen Governance Forum, here on Monday, she highlighted the citizen engagement in revenue recovery efforts and said that WASA had launched a massive awareness campaign to inform the people about benefits of timely bill payments.
She said that payment compliance remained a challenge for WASA in several areas. “In Warispura and Barkatpura, only 22 percent customers pay their WASA bills and this practice needs immediate improvement as timely payments are imperative to maintain and enhance water supply and drainage services”, she added.
She said that WASA was committed to improve quality of its services by boosting revenue recovery. She urged the residents of Faisalabad to play their role by clearing monthly bills and other dues promptly.
She further said that Customer Relations Center (CRC) WASA operated 24/7 to address customer’s complaints and the complaints were resolved within prescribed timelines by ensuring transparency and efficiency in service delivery.
Representatives and community leaders from various union councils of the city including Malkhanwala, Hari Singh, Warispura and Barkatpura were also present.
