FAISALABAD, Aug 05 (APP):Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) has removed rainwater from a private hospital after hectic efforts of 24 hours.
According to Managing Director (MD) WASA Aamer Aziz, the Faisalabad city had received 142 mm rain on Sunday which inundated the low-lying area of the city. The rainwater also entered in the premises of Khadija Mehmood Hospital situated on Chibban Road which was about 7 to 8 feet down from the road level.
The rainwater also damaged a portion of hospital wall and caused problems for the hospital administration in addition to creating panic among the patients.
Receiving information, WASA teams along with 3 sucker machines and 4 de-watering sets rushed to the spot and removed 70 percent accumulated rainwater from the hospital premises till afternoon of Monday whereas the entire building was cleared from rainwater till the evening, he added.
