FAISALABAD, Jun 03 (APP):Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) Faisalabad recovered more than Rs 11.1 million from chronic defaulters besides severing 191 sewerage and water supply connections for non-payment of WASA dues during May 2025.
Managing Director (MD) WASA Aamer Aziz had issued clear instructions for strict action against those customers who failed to pay their outstanding bills and ignored monthly payments despite repeated WASA requests and warnings.
Therefore, WASA teams under the supervision of Revenue Directors Muhammad Iqbal Malik and Umar Iftikhar carried out comprehensive operations throughout the month and recovered Rs 11,135,795 from willful defaulters.
The Revenue Directorate (West) recovered Rs 4,539,612 and cut 112 connections while the Revenue Directorate (East) recovered Rs 6,596,183 and severed 79 connections.
MD Aamer Aziz said that there would be zero tolerance on revenue recovery and all defaulters who fail to pay their WASA bills regularly would face the music.
He urged the consumers to ensure timely payment of WASA dues and monthly bills so that WASA could continue to improve its service delivery in Faisalabad.
