WASA installs machinery to digitalise its system

FAISALABAD, Jul 24 (APP):The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Faisalabad has installed machinery to digitalise its entire system and it would start functioning very soon.
Addressing a meeting here on Wednesday, Deputy Managing Director Services WASA Ikram Ullah Chaudhry said that WASA was striving to provide quality service. In this connection, it has decided to digitalise its water supply and sewerage system.
He said that necessary machinery has been installed at Babar Chowk to digitalize WASA system with the help of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and this pilot project would be completed on war-footing within shortest span of time.
He further said that WASA was undertaking the improvement of water supply project Jhall Khannuana which would help WASA to provide potable drinking water to more than 200,000 people in eastern part of the city.
He said that an awareness campaign has also been launched in the project area about provision of quality services and recovery of WASA dues and this drive would hopefully bring positive fruits.
A team of JICA experts was also present in the meeting and they invited the Managing Director WASA Aamer Aziz to participate in the donors’ conference which would discuss various development projects regarding Master Plan of Faisalabad.
Deputy Managing Director Admin WASA Shoaib Rasheed, Project Director Kamran Raza, Director Finance Arif Suryani, Deputy Director Numan Noor and others were also present on the occasion.
