MULTAN, Dec 31 (APP): WASA Multan recorded significant service delivery by installing a total of 419,509 water and sewerage connections across the city, according to official figures.
The report shows that during the year, WASA addressed 38,118 complaints, including 20,611 related to sewerage, 14,687 billing issues, and 2,820 water supply complaints during 2025. The authority also provided citizens with 41 million gallons of potable water daily, said Managing Director WASA Faisal Shaukat.
The 2025 performance report was presented to Secretary Housing Punjab Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, who expressed satisfaction over WASA Multan’s performance. He said that, in line with the Chief Minister Punjab’s vision, large-scale development works are being initiated to modernize Multan’s water supply and sewerage systems.
To improve recovery, 17 special recovery and disconnection teams have been constituted, leading to a visible reduction in outstanding dues. WASA’s sewerage network covers 250 square kilometers, while water supply services extend to 125 square kilometers, supported by 869 regular and contract employees.
The report further stated that 27 WASA installations have been shifted to solar energy, the billing system has been upgraded from FoxPro-2 to Oracle, and citizens can obtain duplicate bills online 24/7. A round-the-clock customer care service center is operational to ensure complaint resolution within 24 hours, while a dedicated control room will soon be established to collect consumer feedback.
