KARACHI, Nov 01 (APP): Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sindh General Secretary Senator Waqar Mehdi has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the passing of former Sindh Chief Minister and senior PPP leader Aftab Shahban Mirani.
In his condolence message, Senator Waqar Mehdi said the death of Aftab Shahban Mirani has deprived the Pakistan People’s Party of a sincere and loyal leader. He said Mirani’s struggle and services for the people would always be remembered.
Waqar Mehdi described Aftab Shahban Mirani as a man of principles, compassion, and integrity, who will be remembered not only as a loyal PPP companion but also as a humane and kind-hearted politician.
He said the late Aftab Shahban was among the close associates of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
Senator Mehdi added that Mirani never compromised on his principles, even during the most challenging political times, and always prioritized public interest. “His personality was a symbol of tolerance, harmony, and democratic values,” he remarked.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul a high place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and to give patience and strength to the bereaved family.
