BAHAWALPUR, Jan 20 (APP):The District Zakaat Committee, here on Saturday organized an awareness walk to raise public awareness about importance of donating Zakaat.
Led by District Officer of the District Zakaat Committee, Asif Iqbal, the walk was started from the office of the Committee and marched on various city roads. The walk was organized to urge the people to donate Zakaat to extend financial cooperation to the needy people.
Speaking on the occasion, Asif Iqbal urged the society to deposit their Zakaat money to the bank accounts of Zakaat and Ushr Department, Government of Punjab so that poor people could be provided with financial assistance.
