PESHAWAR, Jul 24 (APP): On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Lower Dir, Muhammad Arif Khan, representatives from the district administration and the Food Department visited the fruit and vegetable market in Timergara. The purpose of this visit was to determine wholesale rates and issue a new price list for the day.
Officials stated that strict action will be taken against price gouging, absence of official price lists in shops, substandard food, and hoarding. The public was advised to register their complaints via the numbers on the price list or through the Pakistan Citizen Portal app.
The officials further mentioned that to ensure sales at official rates and to prevent the sale of substandard food, administrative officers and price magistrates are monitoring the markets daily. These measures are being taken to provide quality food to the public and to curb inflation.
