VC IUB visits Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce, Industry

BAHAWALPUR, Jul 31 (APP):Islamia University of Bahawalpur Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Kamran with deans and senior faculty members visited the Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The purpose of the visit was to strengthen academia-industry linkages, promote joint research and development initiatives, enhance students’ skill development, and foster entrepreneurship in the region.
The event was attended by President of the Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Syed Zafar Sharif, Vice President Muhammad Azam Qureshi, members of the Executive Committee, former presidents, including Chaudhry Abdul Jabbar, Sheikh Muhammad Abbas Raza, Chaudhry Tahir Jamil, Mubashir Hussain, with members and representatives from print and electronic media.
In his address to chamber members, the vice chancellor emphasized that robust collaboration between academia and industry was vital for regional development, research, innovation, and increased employment
opportunities.
He highlighted that the university’s students were actively engaged in technical training, internships, research projects, and business initiatives aligned with industrial needs.
The chamber president delivered a welcoming speech, congratulating Prof Dr Muhammad Kamran on his appointment as vice chancellor and underscoring the importance of university-industry collaboration for regional growth and employment.
He appreciated the university’s positive contributions and reiterated that joint initiatives such as working groups, training sessions, and business incubation programmes could greatly benefit both educational and industrial sectors.
