BAHAWALPUR, Dec 24 (APP): A Christmas celebration was organised for the Christian employees of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) in an atmosphere of harmony and goodwill.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran joined the celebrations and cut the Christmas cake along with the Christian employees, extending warm greetings and best wishes to them on the festive occasion. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to interfaith harmony, mutual respect, and inclusivity, and appreciated the services of Christian employees in the progress of the institution. On the occasion, Father Michael Shakil, Coordinator Assistant Parish Priest, and Father Younis Shahzad from St. Dominican Church, Bahawalpur, participated as special guests and shared messages of peace, unity, and brotherhood.
The Christian employees expressed their gratitude to the Vice Chancellor for personally participating in the celebrations and for his continued patronage, encouragement, and support. Among those present were Chairperson Department of World Religions and Interfaith Harmony Dr. Sajila Kausar, Additional Treasurer Tariq Mahmood Sheikh, Chief Security Officer Abdul Wadood, Principal Officer State Care Division Dr. Aamir Manzoor, along with other university officers and staff members.
