PESHAWAR, Dec 15 (APP):A three days anti polio campaign launched in Swabi district on Monday.
Strict security arrangements have been put in place by the Swabi Police for the anti polio teams.
A total of 1,366 police personnel have been deployed for the security of polio teams, while checkpoints established at 26 different entry and exit points, says press release. In addition, 20 mobile patrol vehicles are continuously on duty.
On the special instructions of District Police Officer (DPO) Swabi, Ziauddin Ahmed, a large contingent of police personnel has been deployed to ensure the safety of polio teams and to make the campaign safe and successful.
The DPO Swabi is personally present in the field and has directed all SDPOs and SHOs to regularly inspect the field along with the personnel deployed on security duty and to keep a close watch on the overall situation. Additional checkpoints have been established at entry and exit points to further strengthen the checking system.
