LAHORE, Dec 29 (APP):The University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore is arranging 22nd Annual Sports Day on 1st January, 2026 (Thursday) in City Campus Sports Ground.
UVAS Vice Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) chaired a meeting of conveners and secretaries of management committees and reviewed preparations/arrangements for the annual sports day.
The conveners & secretaries of committees briefed the meeting on the working progress of their respective committees while Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani, Chairman UVAS Sports Board Prof Dr Muhammad Ijaz, Director Sports Rana Amjad Iqbal and management committee members were present.
Secretary Livestock & Dairy Development Department Punjab Ahmad Aziz Tarrar will be chief guest on the inauguration ceremony while Minister for Higher Education Punjab Rana Sikandar Hayat Khan will be chief guest on prize distribution ceremony of 22nd UVAS annual sports day.
Various games including 800, 200, 100 meter races, shot-put, 4 X 400 Meter Relay Race, Javelin Throw, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Discus Throw, High Jump, Three Leg race, Tug of War, Chaati Race, musical chair and Martial Arts/Gymnastic show etc, will be played on the annual sports day. Students of various departments from UVAS Ravi Campus Pattoki, CVAS Jhang, CVAS Narowal, City Campus Lahore, staff and faculty members will participate in these competitions.
