SIALKOT, Sep 14 (APP):The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, University of Sialkot (USKT),

in collaboration with Rescue 1122, and USKT Blood Donor & Medical Air Society

organized a ‘First Aid Training Workshop and Open House’ here on Monday.

The workshop was organized under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Tanvir Ali Khan

Shirwany, Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (AHS), University of Sialkot

(USKT), and the supervision of Dr Saba Safdar, Head, Department of Medical

Laboratory Technology.

According to USKT, the Open House provided students with an engaging platform

to explore professional opportunities, interact with guests and professionals,

gain valuable career insights, and learn about the practical scope and future

prospects of Medical Laboratory Technology.

The one-day training workshop on First Aid: CPR, Bleeding & Burn Management

equipped students and participants with essential practical, life-saving skills and

knowledge.

The event was also graced by USKT Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman,

and CNF Punjab Additional Director Lieutenant Colonel Ishaq Ahmed Butt, who appreciated

the initiative and its focus on student development, practical learning, and community service.

Addressing the students, Lieutenant Colonel Ishaq Ahmed Butt, highlighted the importance

of anti-narcotics awareness, prevention, leadership, community service, and civic

responsibility. He encouraged students to play a positive role in promoting a healthy,

responsible, and drug-free society.

He also emphasized the significance of cooperation and collaboration between

the two institutes to promote student development, community awareness, and

initiatives of mutual benefit.

The event reaffirmed the department’s commitment to student empowerment, practical

learning, professional development, community engagement, anti-narcotics awareness,

institutional collaboration, and academic excellence.

USKT holds first aid training workshop, open house
