SARGODHA, Feb 23 (APP):The University of Sargodha (UoS) organised a special ceremony under its Controller of Examinations Office to acknowledge faculty members, administrative staff and student volunteers for their contributions to the successful conduct of the varsity’s 12th convocation.
Vice Chancellor Pro Dr Qaisar Abbas attended as chief guest, while Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Sarwar Awan was the guest of honour. Controller of Examinations Dr Rehana Ilyas, Registrar Waqar Ahmed, deans, directors and a large number of faculty and staff members were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, the vice chancellor congratulated the entire team, saying that dedication and collective effort were key to institutional excellence. He appreciated the coordinated teamwork that ensured the smooth execution of the four-day convocation, during which graduates from different faculties were invited individually to receive their degrees on stage.
Dr Rehana Ilyas described the convocation as a mega event backed by weeks of planning and close coordination among departments. She thanked faculty, staff and volunteers for their commitment, terming the event a reflection of the university’s strong organisational capacity.
At the end of the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Registrar and Controller of Examinations distributed honorary certificates among faculty members, staff and student volunteers in recognition of their outstanding services during the convocation.
